RPB Medical Student Fellow Works To Improve Glaucoma Detection

With support from Research to Prevent Blindness, medical student Ryan Shean seeks to enhance glaucoma diagnosis through the novel useMedical student Ryan Shean of artificial intelligence at the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California. His mentor is Benjamin Xu, MD, PhD, associate professor of ophthalmology and clinical scholar at the Keck School of Medicine and chief of the Glaucoma Service at the USC Roski Eye Institute. Dr. Xu previously received an RPB Career Advancement Award to support his cutting-edge glaucoma research.
