Dry AMD Virtual Event

In October, Research to Prevent Blindness held a virtual event, “RPB Lunch & Learn: Eye on Dry AMD,” designed to educate RPB’s community on the pathology and features of dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD), as well as explore cutting-edge research directions that are shedding light on early diagnosis and treatment options. The event featured:

  • Presenter Janet S. Sunness, MD, Medical Director, Hoover Low Vision at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center
  • Presenter Christine A. Curcio, PhD, White-McKee Endowed Professor in Ophthalmology; Professor; Director of the AMD Histopathology Lab at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine
